Terms of use
Last updated: October 20, 2026
These terms apply to the use of ScrumGames, run by Mienis Consultancy. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.
1.The service
ScrumGames offers interactive Scrum training games that trainers run on a big screen while participants play on their phones, and The Scrum Games, a monthly competition for Scrum Teams.
2.Accounts
Give correct details and keep your login safe. You're responsible for what happens under your account. Whoever sets up a company account (the super admin) is responsible for the plan and for the people they invite.
3.Trial, plans and payment
- A company can try the service free of charge for 7 days. After that, hosting sessions requires a paid plan.
- Prices are shown on the pricing page in euros, excluding VAT. Payments are handled by Stripe.
- Subscriptions renew automatically every month or year until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time in the billing portal. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for; payments for a period that has started are not refunded.
- We may change prices. We tell you at least 30 days before a change applies to your subscription.
4.Fair use and limits
Each plan has limits, such as the number of facilitators and the number of different players per month, as shown on the pricing page. Don't try to get around them, overload the service or use it to harm others.
5.Your content
What you create (session names, setups, notes, stories) remains yours. You allow us to store and show it as far as needed to run the service. Don't upload anything unlawful or anything that infringes the rights of others.
6.The Scrum Games
- Taking part is free. A team has one Product Owner, one Scrum Master and at least one Developer, 10 people at most, and each person plays in one team per month.
- Submissions are scored by an AI jury using the published scoring criteria. We review the scores and may adjust them; our decision on the ranking is final.
- Play fair: don't try to make the AI stakeholders or the jury reveal hidden information or change scores.
- Rankings with team and company names are published on the website. Prizes, if any, are announced separately.
- We may change, pause or stop the competition at any time.
7.Availability
We do our best to keep the service running, but we can't guarantee it will always be available or free of errors. We may change and improve features.
8.Liability
We're not liable for indirect damage, such as lost profit or lost data. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the damage occurred. This doesn't limit liability for intent or gross negligence.
9.Ending
You can stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
10.Trademarks
ScrumGames is an independent project. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Scrum.org or Scrum Alliance.
11.Changes
We may update these terms. We announce important changes in advance; if you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply.
12.Law and contact
Dutch law applies, and disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands. Questions about these terms: privacy@mienis-consultancy.nl.
